Three major technology and aerospace companies have secured strong endorsements from high-performing Wall Street analysts, according to data from the research platform TipRanks. The recommendations come as investors weigh recent earnings reports, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and the approaching U.S. midterm elections. Concerns over elevated artificial intelligence spending continue to influence market sentiment, but some experts believe specific equities offer durable value.
Datadog, an observability and security platform, is scheduled to release its third-quarter results on November 4. Bank of America analyst Koji Ikeda maintained a buy rating on the stock and increased his price target from $305 to $335. Ikeda cited strengthening demand for infrastructure software, driven largely by the adoption of AI. He estimated that Datadog's revenue growth for the quarter will reach 28.7%, slightly below the consensus estimate of 29.1%. Ikeda argued that the market is undervaluing the growth potential of Datadog's security products while cautioning that reliance on large customers presents a concentration risk.
Nvidia, the semiconductor leader, received a reaffirmed buy rating from Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore following the company's GTC Berlin conference. Moore set a price target of $300, identifying Nvidia as a top pick in the semiconductor sector. He stated that the company effectively manages bottlenecks in supply chain, land, power, and funding. Moore noted that while details on the upcoming Rubin Ultra chip were less detailed than anticipated, the Vera Rubin product line is gaining momentum. He views the company's supply chain agreements for substrate, packaging, and testing as key to closing the gap between demand and supply, although he identified TSMC's 3 nm wafer supply as the primary ongoing challenge.
SpaceX reported third-quarter results that showed a substantial surge in artificial intelligence revenue, which climbed to $7.56 billion from $813 million in the same period last year. Needham analyst Ryan Koontz reiterated a buy rating on the stock with a price target of $250. Koontz highlighted that the company's total revenue rose 161% year-over-year, with the Connectivity segment increasing 69.5%. The Connectivity segment generated $2.37 billion in operating income as its subscriber base grew to 13.6 million. Koontz also pointed to a 195.2% sequential increase in AI revenue, driven by wholesale spot compute deals. He noted that management expects to add 10 gigawatts of incremental capacity during 2027.
TipRanks tracks more than 12,500 analysts to rank their performance. Koji Ikeda ranks 673rd, with a 55% success rate and an average return of 10.9% for his ratings. Joseph Moore ranks 142nd, boasting a 59% success rate and an average return of 23.4%. Ryan Koontz holds the 357th rank, with a 42% success rate and an average return of 23.7%.
