Woodridge residents will cast ballots tomorrow, November 3, for the 2026 General Election, which includes a contest for Illinois governor and a change in DuPage County leadership.
The race for Illinois governor pits incumbent Democratic Governor JB Pritzker against Republican Darren Bailey. Voters in the 6th Congressional District will choose between candidates Conforti and Casten in a rematch, while the 11th District sees incumbent Democrat Bill Foster face Republican nominee Jeff Walter.
DuPage County voters will elect a new sheriff, as Republican James Mendrick does not seek a third term. Democrat Peter Coolidge is running against Republican Sean Noonan for the position. Noonan won the Republican primary over Eddie Moore, the former undersheriff, after Moore faced scrutiny over past incidents involving a car crash and a bar altercation.
Local county offices are also on the ballot. Incumbent County Board President Deb Conroy, the board's first female chair, runs against Gary Grasso. County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek faces Paula Deacon Garcia, and Treasurer Gwen Henry runs against Yeena Yoo. Judge Christina Kye seeks retention against Republican Michael W. Fleming in the 18th Judicial Circuit.
Statewide contests on the ballot include the U.S. Senate race between Democrat Juliana Stratton and Republican Don Tracy. Other state races feature Attorney General Kwame Raoul against Bob Fioretti, Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias against Diane Harris, Comptroller Margaret Croke against Bryan Drew, and Treasurer Michael Frerichs against Max Solomon.
Early voting took place from October 19 through October 31. Additional locations opened on October 21 with expanded hours. Residents could vote at any polling place within DuPage County limits during this period.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow for in-person voting. Voters who registered by the October 18 online deadline or during the grace period at the clerk's office are eligible to vote. Those registering in person needed two forms of ID, one showing their current address.
Mail-in ballots must be postmarked or placed in a dropbox by tomorrow. The Woodridge drop box is at the DuPage County Athletic Recreation Center, 8201 Janes Ave. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through today, November 2.
